The Mausoleum of Mohammed V features a modern Alaouite architectural style, characterized by a white exterior silhouette contrasted with the classic green-tiled roof. The structure is solemn and majestic, with an elegant design. The interior is adorned with marble, granite flooring, and magnificent chandeliers that add to its splendid golden radiance, reflecting the exquisite craftsmanship of Arab-Muslim architecture and the unique building style and decorative artistry of Morocco.
At the center of the Mausoleum of Mohammed V lies the tomb of Mohammed V, flanked by the tombs of Hassan II and Prince Abdullah. The site also includes an exhibition hall that displays portraits of rulers from the Alaouite dynasty, personal belongings of Mohammed V, and historical documents and materials from his reign. To the left of the tomb is a mosque, and further left is the minbar (pulpit). The Mausoleum of Mohammed V is exceptionally resplendent, with its woodwork crafted entirely from sandalwood. It is not just a mausoleum but also a functioning mosque and one of the few holy sites in Morocco that are open to the public.
