The stunning combination of white sandy beaches and turquoise waters creates an unforgettable scene. From a distance, it resembles a glass of greenish-blue liquor waiting to be savored. In 1999, the American travel magazine Outside listed Wineglass Bay as one of the world’s top ten beaches, describing it as follows: “The beach and the Tasman Sea form a distinct crescent shape, like the smiling face on a ‘Have a Nice Day’ button. I found myself alone in this vast expanse where sea meets sky, immersed in the wild, serene, and magnificent beauty of nature...” Breezes gently blow across the bay, and waves lap softly against the shore. On the beach, you might even find uniquely shaped seashells. The crystal-clear, boundless blue waters roll toward the shore, while the silvery-white sand along the edge is as perfect as the rim of a wineglass.
Besides offering breathtaking views, Wineglass Bay is also a hub for recreation, making it a paradise for swimmers, divers, kayakers, boaters, and fishing enthusiasts.
