Majorelle Garden
The Majorelle Garden was designed and built by Jacques Majorelle, a quite well-known French botanist and artist. It is a garden villa established in 1924. He adorned it with a garden full of various tropical plants, decorated with Islamic craftsmanship including geometric patterns and tiles, to express his love for Morocco.

However, the Majorelle Garden is indeed famous for the renowned international fashion master Yves Saint Laurent. His "YSL" brand, ranging from haute couture and clothing to perfumes and cosmetics, has captivated women around the world. In 1980, he purchased the Majorelle Garden and would come to live here every spring and summer. It seemed that the tropical plants and colorful spaces of Majorelle’s garden also brought him a continuous stream of inspiration for his designs, as well as an inexhaustible source of spiritual nourishment.

The Majorelle Garden houses a wide variety of trees, plants, and flowers from around the world. Under the tall palm trees grow various cacti, orchids, and other tropical plants—even Chinese bamboo has made its way here. The most eye-catching features in the garden are two two-story small buildings, painted in yellow, orange, and blue, which look particularly striking in the sunlight. It is said that these were the little villas where Yves Saint Laurent used to rest. Visitors who come here seek not only artistic beauty but also inner peace and refined elegance.
