Located in Dongshankou Village, Zouwu Town, it stands at an elevation of 319.4 meters. Facing Xishan Mountain across from it, an ancient post road once passed through the area, making it an ancient strategic stronghold. The mountain features steep terrain with many exposed bedrocks. During the “Eighth Five-Year Plan” period, several afforestation attempts failed, but later efforts using direct seeding and forest closure for natural regeneration eventually led to dense forest cover. The area is planted with a mix of native tree species such as chinaberry, Chinese toon, and oriental arborvitae, resulting in distinct layers, undulating forest textures, and a rich variety of hues. In late autumn, the interplay of green, yellow, and red creates a picturesque landscape. This region is one of the few natural mixed forests formed through direct seeding in Shandong Province, boasting significant scientific and aesthetic value.
