  The Caoling Ancient Trail features broadleaf forests, artificially cultivated coniferous trees, and the most distinctive plant of subtropical rainforests—the umbrella tree. Other attractions along the trail include “crystal-clear mountain streams,” the Fude Shrine, the Dead Horse Bridge, the Xiong Zhen Man Yan Cliff Inscription, the Tiger Character Stele, the Viewing Pavilion, and the Caoling Ancient Trail Dali Visitor Service Center. The trail is equipped with three rest pavilions, interpretive signs, and public toilets to provide visitors with places to rest and access to services. The entire hike takes approximately 3 to 4 hours.
