The East, West, and South Gates of Shiquan County are situated in the central area of the county town, alongside the Han River, and were constructed during the Ming and Qing periods. At present, the east, west, and south gate towers have been destroyed, but the gateways still remain, along with parts of the city wall. The gate plaques are inscribed with “Gazing Far into Jinzhou,” “Elegant View of the West River,” and “Majestically Overlooking the Han River.” The gate towers were originally built in the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty and were reconstructed in the 24th year of the Daoguang reign in the Qing Dynasty.
