Cuifeng Lake

　　Cuifeng Lake is currently a forest ecological conservation area. The area below an altitude of 1,850 meters around the lake is alpine meadow, with vegetation mainly composed of rushes. The lakeshore is home to mandarin ducks, one of the most precious bird species. There are also many mallards in the northern part of Cuifeng Lake that inhabit and frequent the area, allowing visitors to experience the wonders of nature.

　　“Cuifeng Sunrise” is a breathtaking sight not to be missed when visiting Taiping Mountain. The lake water is clear and mirror-like, earning it the beautiful nickname “Reflections of Cuifeng Lake.” Here, you can spot nationally protected and rare bird species such as the Mikado Pheasant (also known as the Black-eared Pheasant) and the Swinhoe’s Pheasant.
