Song Yu's Well

　　Located on Lantai Road, Yingzhong Subdistrict, Zhongxiang City. It is said to be the well at the residence of Song Yu, the great master of Chu Ci poetry, hence the name Song Yu's Well, also known as Well of Chu Sages. It was renovated during the Shunzhi and Kangxi reigns of the Qing Dynasty. The well platform is covered with a flat piece of white marble, the well walls are built with grey bricks, and the circular mouth has an inner diameter of 0.5 meters. The body of the well is 1–1.5 meters in diameter and about 10 meters deep. This well is an important cultural relic of Chu culture in Hubei Province. (Fifth Batch)
