Grand Ocean Cinema currently has nine professional screening halls and plans to add two more specialty theaters, accommodating up to 1,550 viewers at the same time. The overall interior design of its variously sized screening rooms and corridors was co-designed by Warner Bros., with the audience walkways styled in a wave pattern symbolizing the Huangpu River—the mother river of Shanghai. The cinema is equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology from around the world: low-height, wide-angle screens, and a full suite of high-fidelity sound systems including SRD, DTS, and SDDS. The theater adopts fully automatic and digital projection technologies, making Grand Ocean Cinema the first digital cinema in China.
