The Artificial Haloxylon Forest is a green Great Wall in the Qitai Desert. Extending 3 kilometers from the edge of the desert and stretching 65 kilometers from east to west, it forms a green ecological barrier that has brought the shifting sands under control, protecting 600,000 acres of fertile farmland from wind erosion. This green barrier, with its undulating terrain, vibrant forests, and layered green hills, is now more than just a beautiful landscape. It blends seamlessly with the national “Three-North Shelterbelt Program Phase IV” in northwestern China, creating a magnificent sight. It safeguards human habitats, reflects a safer living environment, and promotes more harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
