Zaoyuan Lake Park
Zaoyuan Lake is situated in Zaoyuan Village, Shahe Town, Xixiang County, approximately 13 kilometers from the county town. The scenic area is developed on a peninsula-shaped mountain created by the natural semi-circular bend of the Muma River. With a water surface covering 1,200 acres, the park boasts shimmering waters and picturesque mountain views. Naturally formed landscapes—including mountains, water, lakes, sandy beaches, pine trees, forests, tea plantations, and fruit orchards—are seamlessly integrated with historical temples and the Prince’s Ridge and Crown Prince Valley, where Cao Fang, the son of Wei Emperor Cao Rui during the Three Kingdoms period, spent his childhood. Across the river lies the Dongyu Han Tea Health Valley, together forming a beautiful landscape of mountains, rivers, tea gardens, and cultural scenery.

To reach Zaoyuan Lake Scenic Area, visitors must take a ferry, which adds a touch of romance to the experience. The area features multi-functional buildings that integrate dining, accommodation, and entertainment, surrounded by flower beds, lush trees, and vibrant blooms that create breathtaking views. Within the woods, visitors can admire wildlife such as peacocks, swans, and pheasants. Small open areas are set up among the trees, furnished with tables and chairs, while the beach offers parasols and seating for guests to rest, enjoy the shade, soak up the sun, and indulge in tea and snacks.

Located just across the river from Zaoyuan Lake, the Dongyu Han Tea Health Valley has completed essential infrastructure including water, electricity, roads, lighting, public toilets, garbage facilities, and sewage treatment. New cultural squares such as the Lingnan Crepe Myrtle Square and the Wuzi Magnolia Square have been built, along with recreational facilities like leisure pavilions, corridors, viewing platforms, and a Wuzi Green Tea visitor experience area. Flower stands have been arranged, and landscaping trees such as camphor, jujube, and Chinese fir have been planted, creating a tourist attraction that combines tea culture, tea ecology, tea experiences, and wellness leisure.
