Xinshidu Bamboo Forest Scenic Area
To the north lies the Tao-Yi Highway, to the west it reaches Bafang Mountain, to the south it connects with Snake Mountain, and to the east it borders Gaocun. The bamboo forest covers an area of nearly 26.67 km², with green mountains and verdant bamboo, undulating peaks, and misty surroundings. The hundreds of mountain ponds and lakes scattered throughout the area are like sparkling pearls, making it a renowned bamboo-themed tourist attraction and summer retreat in Yiyang. Within the scenic area, Jinmao Mountain is covered with robust moso bamboo, with an average diameter at breast height of over 22 cm and a maximum of 57 cm, earning it the title "King of Hunan Bamboo."
