Address: Guojiazhuang Village, Guojiazhuang Town, Wenxi County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province
This cultural relic is situated along both sides of a roughly 130-meter-long north-south road at the entrance of Guojiazhuang Village, Guojiazhuang Town, Wenxi County. Among them, the stone memorial archway faces south and spans the north-south road. It is a chastity archway built by Qiu Jiamo, the Qing Dynasty Salt Transport Official, by imperial decree for his mother, Lady Sun Yirén. It was constructed during the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty (1875–1908). The entire archway is made of stone and imitates a wooden structure with a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof and carved dragon ridge ornaments. Both the front and back eaves are hung with stone plaques, the beams feature relief carvings depicting historical stories, the flower panels are adorned with floral patterns, and the architrave bears inscribed titles. The tablet pavilions are distributed along both sides of the north-south road and were built during the Tongzhi and Guangxu eras of the Qing Dynasty (1862–1908), totaling five structures. There are two pavilions on the east side of the road, both facing west, arranged from north to south as the Qiu Yujing Spirit Way Tablet Pavilion and the Qiu Brothers’ Virtue Tablet Pavilion; and three on the west side of the road, all facing east, arranged from north to south as the Qiu Family Five Tablets Pavilion, the Zhao Taijun Chastity and Longevity Tablet Pavilion, and the Xue Taijun Chastity and Filial Piety Tablet Pavilion.
All are stone structures imitating wood, built on stone foundations. Except for the Qiu Yujing Spirit Way Tablet Pavilion which has a cross-shaped hip-and-gable roof, the rest all have a single-eaved hip-and-gable roof. The tablet pavilions often feature hanging stone plaques on their front and side facades, with bas-relief decorations on the beams and engraved couplets on the stone pillars.
