within the national-level Mount Li Nature Reserve in Lianshan Town. It features rich primeval forests and numerous natural landscapes such as spectacular peaks, beautiful waterfalls, serene valleys, and peculiar trees. The main peak, Huanggumu Curtain, stands at an elevation of 2,134 meters, making it the second highest peak in Mount Li. Legend has it that this was the dwelling place of Ehuang and Nüying, the two consorts of Emperor Shun. The peak earned its name due to the frequent clouds and mists that shroud it, giving it the appearance of a flowing curtain. Following the historic path once taken by Emperor Shun on his way to Shunwangping — Keyhole Gully — visitors can hike upward. Along the trail, they will encounter a stone monkey welcoming them, dragons and tigers seemingly leaping in joy, an elephant bowing its head, and a graceful maiden singing. The path twists and turns, opening and closing, with a new view at every step. Upon reaching the top of the curtain, one can look north to admire the majestic presence of Shunwangping standing proudly; gaze westward to see the lush expanse of the Seventy-two Mixed Valleys (a primeval forest) rolling like green waves; look south to behold the 32 towering peaks of the Sawtooth Mountains, resembling heavenly soldiers and generals; and turn east to take in the beautiful scenery of Yunmeng Mountain, wreathed in auspicious clouds, like a fairyland on earth.
