Dongdatan Reservoir

　　  Dongdatan Reservoir is situated on the Golden-Silver Grassland, 6 kilometers east of the county town. It was completed in November 1981 and is currently the largest regulatory reservoir in the Huangshui River basin. The dam spans the mouth of the Muli Gully, with National Highway 315 and the Qinghai-Tibet Railway running along its edge. The southern shore of the reservoir features a natural grassland that is 1.2 kilometers long and 50–80 meters wide. The water surface shimmers with ripples, while herds of cattle and sheep graze on the grassland. Various species of waterfowl make their home along the reservoir year-round, offering city dwellers a refreshing sense of openness and tranquility.
