Longtou Beach Scenic Area

Introduction The route passes through Nine-Bend Eighteen-Rapids, where precipitous rocks rise sharply from the river, vivid in shape, with surging waves rushing for miles. Lush green mountains and bamboo groves line both shores, along with unique peaks and sheer cliffs, creating a breathtaking scene that captivates visitors. At the riverbank landing, towering boulders stand like walls, and the river water surges through the rocky gorge, churning up snow-like spray—an impressive sight known as “Dragon Head White Waves.” On the riverbank stands the image of the “Dragon King” and the four guardian deities of wind, thunder, rain, and lightning, all exuding vivid expressions and lifelike detail. Passing the temple and entering the Yin-Yang Valley, you walk along a winding path through green bamboo before encountering a waterfall dozens of meters high. Following the mountain’s contour, the water plunges down with tremendous force. It converges into a five-tiered curtain waterfall spanning hundreds of meters, with each tier connected seamlessly, forming deep, unfathomable pools—a marvel known as the “Dragon Pool.”
