Shenxian Cave is located on the southern bank of the Suifen River, 1.5 kilometers southwest of Dongning Town. Outside the cave, two towering peaks rise about a hundred meters high. Between the peaks, bushes grow in abundance, and on the cliffs of the western peak, there are clusters of century-old trees. Halfway up the cliff, wild pigeons have built their nests. When visitors climb to the top of the cliff, the pigeons and white clouds seem to fly beneath their feet. To the north and west, beneath the cliffs, the rapid waters of the Suifen River meander by, dozens of meters deep. The twin peaks and ancient trees are all reflected in the water like a painting, while the rugged cliffs make visitors dare not look down. A few meters inward from the rocks under the southwestern cliff, the cliff top spreads out like an umbrella, sheltering the area below. On rainy or snowy days, visitors can admire the scenery of Shenxian Cave here without getting wet. Walking straight ahead across the green grass from the base of the western cliff, one can reach the entrance of Shenxian Cave by climbing ladders or scaling the rocks. Facing the cave entrance, a stone wall bears a several-meter-high Chinese character "仙" (immortal) carved by devotees, along with smaller inscriptions such as “There are deities three feet above your head.” Entering the cave, you can initially walk upright, but after a few meters, you need to crouch. Further inside, the cave ceiling becomes too low to proceed, and no one knows how deep the cave goes. When a stone is tossed in, the rolling sound gradually fades into the distance, leaving its final destination unknown. Legend has it that immortals once lived in this cave, hence its name, and even today, believers still offer incense here. On the southern riverbank near Shenxian Cave, there is a sandy beach spanning several hundred square meters, serving as an ideal natural swimming spot in summer. Further west lies a paradise for fishing enthusiasts.
The southern mountain of Shenxian Cave is covered with wild roses, while the northern bank features endless orchards. In full bloom season, the red roses on the southern bank blaze like fire, while the white apple and pear blossoms on the northern bank resemble snow. The waters of the Suifen River reflect half red and half white, making visitors feel as if they are walking through a sea of flowers.
