Buyi Stone Village

Stone Village is one of the many Buyi ethnic villages in Biandan Mountain and is also a renowned hometown of batik art, located 12 kilometers from the county seat of Zhenning. The village homes are built entirely of stone — walls, corridors, pillars, tiles, and stairs are all made from locally quarried stone. Even the resting tables and chairs are fashioned from stone. The stone houses are built layer upon layer, ascending the mountainside in an orderly and unique layout. Attraction Information Address: Biandan Mountain, Zhenning County, southwestern Guizhou, 6 kilometers from Huangguoshu Waterfall. Admission: 40 RMB per person Transportation:

  1. Take a minibus from Anshun South Bus Station to Zhenning (4–5 RMB). From Zhenning Transportation Management Office, there are buses heading toward Dajigong, with a stop at Stone Village en route (2 RMB).

  2. To get to Stone Village from Huangguoshu, you can take a bus from Huangguoshu to Anshun (one every 20 minutes, 3 RMB per person). Inform the driver you’re getting off at Stone Village, and they will drop you at the junction, where small three-wheeled vehicles (2 RMB per person) can take you to the entrance. Food and Accommodation: There are local farm stays available for reasonable prices — around 10 RMB. Meals such as cured meat and blood tofu cost just a few RMB.
