Huanghua Mountain
The Taihang Huanghua Mountain Scenic Area is situated in the Linlu Mountain of the eastern foothills of the Taihang Mountains, 10 kilometers west of Lin County. It has been a renowned destination for emperors, scholars, and poets of various dynasties since the Warring States period to sightsee and enjoy the cool summer air. The area boasts up to 72 scenic spots, featuring both ancient architecture and natural landscapes. Throughout history, many celebrated literati and artists have left behind numerous poems, essays, and paintings inspired by Huanghua Mountain. Jing Hao, a famous painter of the Five Dynasties period, painted landscapes and trees here and created the ink-brush outline technique known as the “Panoramic Landscape Painting School,” which became the foremost school of landscape painting during the Tang and Song dynasties.
