The landscape mainly features large-scale karst cave clusters distributed in groups and dense primeval forests, set against natural mountains and waters. It is characterized by “majesty,” “wonder,” “seclusion,” and “elegance.” The scenery is naturally formed, and the park also boasts long-standing cultural sites, such as ancient plank roads and the well-preserved ruins of the Tang and Song dynasty Yejiayi Village. Verdant peaks and secluded valleys form a layered, rugged terrain with strikingly upright formations. The clustered karst caves are particularly unique, offering wonders that are mysterious, steep, and perilous: Wulong Cave, Four Buddhas Cave, and Xuantian Cave, all seem carved by supernatural craftsmanship, each cave seemingly home to immortals, making them truly captivating. Stone pillars, stalagmites, lotus-shaped stones, and stalactites are vividly lifelike, taking on various shapes and forming naturally delightful sights. Outside the caves, the surrounding mountains cradle flowing waters, with cliffside curtains of jade-like waterfalls plunging straight down, splashing beads of water and sparkling droplets. The clear, green Dragon Pool is transparent to its depths, creating a uniquely distinctive scenic character. The complex geographical structure and dense forest vegetation provide habitat for more than 20 species of nationally protected animals, including antelope, golden eagles, deer, jackals, lynxes, and giant salamanders—many of which are first- or second-class protected species. Experts have confirmed through surveys and evaluations that the area holds extremely high value for tourism, sightseeing, scientific research, and exploration. It is a provincial-level forest park integrating tourism, vacation leisure, scientific expeditions, health retreats, science education, and cultural entertainment.
