Huanghua Divine Garden Scenic Area
Situated on the eastern side of the main peak of Linlu Mountain, it features lush mountains, clear waters, misty clouds, and breathtaking views, combining both natural and cultural landscapes as well as ancient and modern wonders all in one mountain. It is home to seventy-two scenic highlights such as “Huanghua’s Upside-Down Flowing Water,” “Thousand-Foot Hanging Waterfall Forming a Beaded Curtain,” and “Ice Cave Keeping Cool in Scorching Heat.” The area includes historical structures from various dynasties, including the Zhao State Great Wall and Huanghua Guild Hall from the Warring States period, the Gao Huan Summer Palace from the Eastern Wei Dynasty, the Jue Ren Temple from the Sui Dynasty, the Queen Mother’s Temple and Ciming Temple from the Song Dynasty, as well as architectural complexes like the Waterfall Pavilion, Huanghua Middle Courtyard, and Jade Emperor Pavilion from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. There is also the Huanghua Academy founded by the renowned Jin Dynasty calligrapher and painter Wang Tingyun during his seclusion here, along with over seventy steles of famous poetry and prose from different eras. The site also houses two clusters of stone pagodas and numerous ancient and rare trees. With waterfalls cascading from the mountaintop, dry lakes shimmering in the valley, peaks hidden in clouds, and streams winding through secluded gullies, it is praised as “The most beautiful peak of the Taihang Mountains is Linlu, but Huanghua of Linlu surpasses them all in fame.”
