  Xianmi Temple

Xianmi Temple is the most famous Tibetan Buddhist monastery in the Menyuan area, located over fifteen kilometers from Haomen Town. The monastery is surrounded by the Lenglongling Range at the forefront of the mountain ranges and the world-renowned Qilian Mountains, offering an extremely tranquil environment. The entire temple complex is built along the mountain, ascending progressively from low to high. Viewed from below, the varying heights and terraced layout resemble pavilions and towers, creating a truly spectacular sight. The complex consists of a Great Scripture Hall, a Small Scripture Hall, Buddha Halls, monks' quarters, gardens, and other uniquely designed buildings. Xianmi Temple, originally named "Xianming Temple," was established during the 16th century. ZhuGu Temple: ZhuGu Temple is one of the ancient Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Menyuan, located in Jiefang Village within the Zhugou Gorge. Nestled against mountains and facing water, it boasts beautiful scenery. Originally constructed in the first year of the Shunzhi era (1644) under the direction of Zanbu Duanzhi Jiacao, a lama from the Kongpo Dratsang of the Drepung Monastery in Tibet, the temple follows the contours of the mountain, with its structures spread out at varying heights along a crescent-shaped hillside. In front stands a pagoda with a white base and golden spire, behind which are symmetrically arranged the Great Scripture Hall, Qielay Courtyard, [0] Hall, Zhukashan God Temple, Tea House, Tanhua Buddha, and nine other lama residences. The Grand Scripture Hall, featuring a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof, serves as the main structure of the temple, covering an area of over two acres and standing four stories tall. Entirely made of wood, it is intricately carved and vividly painted. Together with the scenic beauty of Songduotang, they form a picturesque scene.
