Xianmi Gorge
Xianmi Gorge is situated about 40 kilometers east of Menyuan County and connects to Zhugou Gorge. Spanning roughly 40 kilometers, the Daitong River flows swiftly through winding curves, with the sound of rushing water echoing incessantly. Towering cliffs rise on both sides, while forests of pine, cypress, and birch block out the sunlight. Birds chirp among the trees, and deer and roe deer can be spotted hiding within. In summer, the landscape is lush and emerald green, with mountain streams babbling and wildflowers blooming in vibrant competition, filling the air with fragrance. In autumn, the forest is painted in layers of color, a stunning mosaic of reds, yellows, and greens. In winter, the mountains are blanketed in silvery white, presenting an exceptionally enchanting sight.
When a gentle breeze blows, the rustling of the pine trees resembles the thunderous charge of thousands of horses, stirring the heart.
