The Haidian District Museum was officially established in May 2003 under the Haidian District Culture Committee, and since August 2005 has been under the Haidian District Public Service Committee. It is a newly built comprehensive regional museum.
The Haidian Museum integrates the collection, preservation, research, and exhibition of cultural relics. Its mission is to protect various historical artifacts, promote the region’s historical culture, enhance cultural exchanges between districts, and advance the development of spiritual civilization. It is dedicated to preserving cultural relics unearthed or collected within the region, while also carrying out scientific preservation and academic research on these relics. Through both permanent and special exhibitions, the museum showcases and promotes the great historical journey and splendid culture of the Chinese nation to domestic and international audiences, as well as introduces the historical evolution and social development of Haidian District. In addition, it periodically hosts various domestic and international art exhibitions to meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the people in Haidian.
