Sunshine Sunday Park
Sunshine Sunday is situated outside Beijing’s West Fourth Ring Road, at the southeast corner of the intersection of Yuquan Road and Jinguohe Road, approximately 800 meters south of Yuquan Road Subway Station. To the east lies the under-construction Wukesong Olympic Park, and to the west are the five-hectare Sunshine Sunday Park and China’s largest sculpture park, giving it an exceptionally prime location. The design concept of the project draws on Beijing’s rich cultural heritage while incorporating classic European and American architectural styles, with an emphasis on creating a green environment and a vibrant cultural atmosphere.

Covering a total area of 5.6 hectares, it was completed in 2003. The park features ten scenic spots: Bamboo Stream Garden, Birdsong Forest, Fitness Plaza, Sunshine Playground, Rose Terrace, Lakeside Viewing Corridor, Fountain Plaza, Source of Water, Starlight Plaza, and Sunshine Central Plaza. Open to the public free of charge, it has become a popular leisure and entertainment destination for local residents in the Yuquan Road area.

The park is named “Sunshine Sunday,” and its name carries a deeper meaning: life in the city is hectic and busy, with weekdays (Monday to Friday) filled with demanding work and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) often spent with family. So where can one find space for personal relaxation, recreation, and leisure? Come to “Sunshine Sunday.” With its pleasant environment, beautiful scenery, and well-equipped facilities, “Sunday the Eighth” offers all of this to you.
