　　    Camellia oil is hailed as the “Oriental Olive Oil” and the “Soft Gold of Oils.” Its oleic acid content, a type of monounsaturated fatty acid, accounts for around 80%, which is the highest among the major edible oils currently available.

　　      In 2015, the camellia oil base area in Quzhou City reached 694,800 mu, accounting for approximately 27.3% of the province’s total camellia oil area. The total output value of the camellia oil industry was 950 million yuan, making up about 42% of the province’s total camellia oil industry output value, ranking first in the province. There were 19 camellia oil processing enterprises in the city, including one national-level forestry leading enterprise, nine provincial-level forestry leading enterprises, and an additional 155 small oil pressing workshops.

　　      In 2015, the output value of the camellia oil industry in our city reached 952 million yuan, of which the primary industry contributed 277.11 million yuan, the secondary industry 592.09 million yuan, and the tertiary industry 82.8 million yuan. The camellia oil industry involves 645 villages and 631,200 people across the city.

　　      In 2006, “Changshan Camellia Oil” was awarded the title of “Geographical Indication Protected Product” by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China, making it the earliest regional brand for camellia oil in our city. 　　 The camellia oil industry is a sector that integrates the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. Our city has a relatively complete camellia oil industrial chain, among which “Changfa” was listed on the Zhejiang Zhoushan Commodity Exchange and also established a camellia oil spot trading center.
