Crystal Palace Stewed Shrimp
Main ingredients: 150g sea shrimp, 30g vaccaria seeds, 30g mulberries.
Ingredients: a pinch of MSG, a pinch of salt.
Method:
1. First, put the cleaned vaccaria seeds and mulberries into a clay pot, add two bowls of water, and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes.
2. Strain out the herbal residue, add the sea shrimp, and cook until the shrimp are fully done. 3. Adjust salt and MSG to taste before serving.
Characteristics: Sweet, sour and slightly astringent, with a unique flavor.
Medicinal value:
Vaccaria seeds (also known as forbidden palace flower, grinding cage herb, or wheat-blue vegetable) have a slightly bitter taste and neutral nature, often used to activate blood circulation, regulate menstruation, promote lactation, reduce swelling and eliminate abscesses, promote urination, and stop bleeding; mulberries are sweet and cold in nature, and can nourish liver and kidney, calm wind, and enrich yin.
When these two herbs are stewed together with salty and warm sea shrimp, they are highly effective for irregular menstruation, insufficient postpartum lactation, boils and abscesses, stomach weakness with poor appetite, and deficiency of liver and kidney yin. They are especially suitable for those suffering from dim vision and tinnitus.
