　　In recent years, Nenjiang County has fully leveraged the advantages of its green, organic, high-protein soybeans, upheld the banner of "developing non-GMO soybeans," and positioned the Nenjiang soybean economy as the leading and core sector of the county’s economic development. It has established China’s first soybean food industrial park — the “China Nenjiang Non-GMO Soybean Food Technology Industrial Park” — and developed a full industrial chain centered on deep processing of soybeans. The county has also built a comprehensive Nenjiang logistics park, created a national incubation center for non-GMO soybean deep-processing industries, and constructed the “China Soybean Museum,” among other initiatives, to promote the urban brand of “Nenjiang · China’s Soybean City.” Nenjiang is being developed into a national non-GMO soybean production reserve area and a non-GMO soybean food development zone.

　　Nenjiang County is located within one of the world’s three most famous black soil belts, situated in the vast Songnen Plain and within the national ecological function protection zones of the Greater and Lesser Khingan Mountains. It enjoys a mid-cold temperate, continental monsoon climate. The county features fertile land, abundant forests, water sources, and grasslands, making it a golden zone for soybean production.

　　Nenjiang has long been known as the “Northern Granary,” “China’s Soybean City,” “National Key Commodity Grain Base,” and “Agricultural Industrialization Base.” The county has 12 million mu of arable land, making it the county with the largest cultivated land area in China, accounting for one twentieth of Heilongjiang Province’s total. Its soybean planting area reaches 8 million mu, with an average annual output of 1.2 million tons, accounting for one tenth of the national soybean output. It is a nationally renowned major soybean production area and a well-known wheat and soybean production base, including 1 million mu of national-level green food raw material production bases.
