Limin Scallions
Baiquan County is an agricultural county primarily focused on grain production. The county has a total of 3.613 million mu of arable land, with fertile soil that yields abundant crops such as soybeans, wheat, corn, sorghum, milk-white kidney beans, sunflowers, and potatoes. There are also 1.139 million mu of forested land, mainly consisting of Korean pine, larch, Scots pine, and poplar, with a standing timber volume of 2.42 million cubic meters. The local specialties of Baiquan have distinct regional characteristics, mainly including four categories: mountain delicacies and wild vegetables, forage and nectar plants, traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, and local specialty products. Among these, the local specialties — milk-white kidney beans, white melon seeds, garlic from Sandao Town, and Limin Scallions — are renowned both domestically and internationally.
