Basalt Lava
During explosive volcanic activity, hot basaltic lava is ejected from the crater. Depending on the degree of solidification before landing, it forms various shapes of volcanic bombs: spindle-shaped, twisted, irregular, as well as cow-dung-like, pancake-like, sombrero-like, or snake-like and flat splatter lava masses—these are known as basalt lava.
The mineral resources in Kedong County include more than 10 types such as basalt, basalt lava, and construction sand. Basalt lava is a unique natural mineral resource in Kedong, with a reserve of 77.5 million cubic meters and an annual extraction volume of 80,000 cubic meters.
