The "Chinese Grass Brush" is the latest invention in the history of Chinese calligraphy and painting tools, representing a uniquely performing new type of brush in China’s soft brush manufacturing field. The inventor of the grass brush is Mr. Huang Jishuang, a renowned calligrapher and painter from Qitaihe City. The product has attracted attention from relevant domestic experts, been granted an invention patent by the National Patent Office, and received high praise and affirmation from over a hundred well-known calligraphers and painters. The Qitaihe "Chinese Grass Brush" is made from a special type of grass called mao ling cao, which is unique to the cold mountainous regions of northern China, and is processed through scientific harvesting and crafting techniques. The "Chinese Grass Brush" overcomes the weaknesses of traditional calligraphy and painting brushes—namely, being overly soft and smooth while lacking dryness and boldness—and is suitable for various techniques and special needs in Chinese calligraphy and painting. It is produced in different specifications and with different functionalities. Its features include: 1. Extremely high roughness and strong gripping performance; 2. Adjustable firmness and flexibility, combining the qualities of both wolf hair and sheep hair; 3. Exceptionally durable—at 0.48 newtons, the tensile strength of a single grass bristle far exceeds that of wolf or sheep hair, as confirmed by physical tensile testing.
