　　Huinan Rice is a specialty of Huinan County in Tonghua, Jilin Province.

　　Huinan County is a national commodity grain production base county and is known as the "Hometown of Green Rice." In recent years, leveraging the abundant land resources and ample water supply from the Changbai Mountain range, the county has vigorously developed its green rice industry. It has continuously improved both rice yield and quality through enhanced farming practices, field management, and the introduction of new varieties. Sales channels have also been expanded. In 2013 alone, the county's green rice production generated an output value of 430 million yuan.

　　In terms of cultivation, in recent years, many agricultural cooperatives and enterprises in the county have focused on developing green and organic rice. They strictly adhere to standardized production techniques, and some even adopt eco-friendly practices such as duck farming or crab farming in rice paddies. The resulting green and organic rice is of high quality and rich in nutrients.

　　In processing, eight modern rice enterprises—including Huinong Japonica Rice Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Huaxia Rice Industry Co., Ltd. under China Grain Logistics Group—use mechanized processes with clean and hygienic production procedures. The processed rice is pearly white and uniformly shaped.

　　In branding, eight local rice brands—including "Jushuixiang," "Loujie Gaolixiang," "Fuwa," and "Longgangxiang"—have obtained national QS safety production licenses, organic certifications, and green food certifications. These brands have strong sales markets in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Yunnan, and Xinjiang.

　　Wang Guangming, deputy director of the Huinan County Special Industries Development Service Center, said: "Nowadays, Huinan Rice is in high demand. The county’s standardized production bases for green food raw materials (rice) have reached 300,000 mu, and organic planting bases continue to expand. The county will increase efforts in scientific farming to further improve rice quality."

　　Recently, major rice cooperatives and enterprises in Huinan County have actively collaborated with the county’s e-commerce association to gradually promote the development of e-commerce for Huinan Rice. This includes simultaneous operations through agents, physical stores, and online shops, continually expanding brand sales channels. Zou Yinghui, manager of Haohuilai Rice Industry Co., Ltd., said: "E-commerce has opened up a vast online sales platform for Huinan Rice. Our company has now registered as a member of the county business association and successfully completed numerous online orders, yielding excellent results. We plan to further strengthen online sales to better develop the rice industry."
