Geographic Scope
The peaches from the mountainous and semi-mountainous areas (the main peach-producing region) of Pinggu County, as well as the facility peach production bases in the high-efficiency science and technology parks across all 17 towns in the county.
Pinggu peaches have long enjoyed a great reputation. As a protected geographical indication product, they are characterized by large cultivation areas, diverse varieties, a long market availability period, and substantial export volumes. After years of scientific and technological research and development, they have formed more than 200 varieties across four major series—white peaches, flat peaches, nectarines, and yellow peaches—achieving an industrial scale of 280 million kilograms in annual output and nearly 1 billion yuan in annual income. Each peach is supported by over 30 scientific and technological measures, and their market availability extends from the end of March to mid-November each year. Pinggu has also achieved a new breakthrough in the fruit industry by ensuring fresh peaches are available all year round.
