Pulandian greenhouse peaches ripen from mid-March to mid-April each year. They come in a full range of varieties, characterized by their excellent color and taste (bright red with a glossy sheen, sweet and tangy flavor), as well as good transport and storage durability (can be stored and transported at room temperature for 3–5 days). Background on Pulandian Greenhouse Peaches: Grape Valley Village in Xingtai Town, Pulandian City, is located in the mountainous northern region of Pulandian and within the urban–Ba Highway economic belt. It is an important base for greenhouse peach production in Dalian, yielding 3 million tons of greenhouse peaches annually. In 2006, it was recognized as a pollution-free fruit production area, and its products were certified as pollution-free agricultural goods. The greenhouse peaches have built a strong brand, not only firmly occupying the Dalian market but also being distributed to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jilin, Heilongjiang, and exported to Russia and Japan.
