Feitun Strawberries

　　Feitun Village in Siping Town, Pulandian City, Dalian, is located in the northern mountainous region of Liaoning. With convenient transportation, abundant resources, fertile land, and a superior environment, it is a well-known strawberry specialty village. The village covers an area of 25 square kilometers, has a total population of 4,559, and cultivates 4,325 mu of arable land. Currently, the village has developed over 1,500 high-standard “four-in-one” strawberry solar greenhouses, covering an area of 3,180 mu, producing 3 million kilograms of high-quality strawberries annually, with a total output value of 20 million yuan. The village has achieved significant economic development, with per capita income reaching 6,800 yuan. The strawberry solar greenhouse production in the village is the largest off-season strawberry production base in southern Liaoning. It has been designated by the state as an “Agricultural Standardization Management Demonstration Base,” by the Liaoning Provincial Government as a “Modern Agricultural Park,” and by the Dalian Municipal Government as a “Pollution-Free Agricultural Product Production Base.” In 2006, the “Liaonan Siping” brand strawberries were certified as green food by the National Green Food Development Center.

　　The strawberry solar greenhouse production in Feitun Village follows standardized production and branded management. It collaborates with strawberry companies and associations to form an “enterprise + base + farmer” production management model. The operation is equipped with advanced facilities such as automated water supply systems, agricultural product pesticide residue testing equipment, acoustic growth enhancers, water magnetizers, and carbon dioxide boosters, as well as advanced technologies like soil testing and formulated fertilization and triple-cropping production. The village has also established cooperative relationships with research institutions such as the Liaoning Strawberry Research Institute and the Liaoning Economic Forest Research Institute. Additionally, several agricultural experts have been hired as long-term technical advisors to oversee variety development, introduction, and technical guidance. Currently, the strawberries produced are in high demand in the domestic market and are mainly sold to cities such as Dalian, Shenyang, and Harbin.
