High-quality rice

　　The high-quality rice in Dandong is mainly produced in Donggang City, covering an area of over 700,000 mu, accounting for more than 90% of the city's paddy fields. The annual rice production reaches 300 million kilograms, yielding about 200 million kilograms of high-quality rice. Donggang City is located far from major industrial bases, ensuring that its land and irrigation water remain unpolluted. With a mild climate, abundant rainfall, rich water resources, and fertile soil, the area has great potential for increased production and convenient land and water transportation, making it well-suited for developing high-quality rice. It has now become one of the national and provincial bases for high-quality rice production. Major varieties include “Zhongzuo 9052,” “Tiyou 418,” “Jingyue 1,” and “Dongshi 8.” These types of rice are known for their high yield, good taste, low glutinous content, and fragrant flavor, meeting nearly all 12 quality indicators for high-quality rice.
