Kuandian Yellow River Carp
Kuandian Yellow River Carp is a product with a geographical indication for agricultural goods.
The Yalu River originates from Tianchi Lake on Changbai Mountain and flows southeast into the Yellow Sea. It serves as the border river between China and North Korea. Its name comes from the water’s duck-head-like hue. The river basin has a forest coverage rate of 68%, making it one of the few remaining industrial pollution-free river systems in the world. Moreover, the water quality is excellent, with total hardness, pH value, biogenic elements, and transparency all exceeding international standards. The nearly pristine ecological environment keeps the river water clear and emerald green, captivating to the eye. The Yellow River carp that grows in this environment is widely renowned for its tender meat, delicious flavor, thick back, high meat yield, rich nutrition, and absence of earthy taste.
