Taoli Chestnuts
Taoli Village is honored as the "Number One Chestnut Village in China." With its uniquely favorable climate and high-quality soil, it is one of the few regions in the country suitable for growing organic chestnuts. The village currently has 15,000 acres of chestnut orchards, with nearly 1 million trees, producing 2,000 tons of chestnuts annually. There are 28 varieties including Dange, Jinhua, and Dafeng, among which the village’s self-developed "Taoli No. 1" has been certified as a green food product.
In recent years, Taoli Village has partnered with agricultural research institutions to establish a deep-processing factory for chestnuts, producing chestnut powder, chestnut beverages, preserved chestnut kernels, and other chestnut-based food products. This has significantly boosted the village's economy, achieving an annual output value of 196 million RMB and generating 19.6 million RMB in profits and taxes. The village’s fixed assets have now exceeded 30 million RMB, and the per capita income of villagers is 12,300 RMB. The village has successively earned honors such as National Top Ten Well-Off Villages, National Advanced Village in Spiritual Civilization Construction, National Patriotic Advanced Demonstration Unit, and Model Village for Building a New Socialist Countryside.
