Mountain Produce and Wild Fruits
Jianchang County covers a total area of 3,195 square kilometers, 70% of which is mountainous. The two highest peaks in western Liaoning — Bailang Mountain and Daqing Mountain — are both located within Jianchang. Bailang Mountain spans a total area of 9.3 square kilometers and has an elevation of 1,140.2 meters, while Daqing Mountain stretches for dozens of miles with an elevation of 1,223.8 meters. The area boasts abundant natural resources and a rich variety of high-quality mountain produce and wild fruits. Currently, dozens of types of wild vegetables and fruits have made their way onto people’s tables. The people of Jianchang are actively developing and utilizing these natural, green products, with some varieties already being promoted both within and outside the province — such as various mushrooms, ginseng, deer antler, mountain pears, and hickory nuts. These products are of premium quality and highly regarded by consumers.
