　　The leek cultivation area in Babao Town covers 10,000 mu, primarily located in Dawantun, Maquanzi, Heshun, and Guchengbao villages, and has spread to 15 nearby villages. This spring, the town’s total leek output reached 40,000 tons, with a total output value of 48 million yuan, boosting the per capita income by 1,200 yuan. “Eight-Treasure leeks” have become a leading industry for enriching the people and strengthening the town.

　　Eight-Treasure leeks have successively obtained the Ministry of Agriculture’s pollution-free agricultural product certification, established a 10,000-mu pollution-free leek production base, and been named the “Hometown of Leek Specialties in Liaoning.”
