　　Mink

Minks, in terms of animal classification, belong to the order Carnivora, family Mustelidae, genus Neogale (formerly Mustela), and are small, valuable fur-bearing animals. In the wild, there are two types: the American mink (M. vison) and the European mink (M. lutreola). Currently, all minks raised artificially around the world are descendants of American and European minks. The primary commercial part of the mink is its fur. Mink fur, along with fox fur and Persian lamb fur, constitutes three of the main commodity types in the global fur market. At present, mink fur is in short supply domestically and has very promising development prospects.
