Brazil is one of the world’s major coffee-producing countries and also a leading consumer of coffee. In addition to supplying large quantities of commercial-grade beans, the country also produces highly sought-after specialty coffee in regions with suitable climates and higher altitudes. Today we’re talking about the White Grass Estate, a century-old coffee farm in the Cerrado region — Brazil’s first coffee-producing area to be granted an origin designation (similar to renowned wine-growing regions).

Brewing & Extraction

The White Grass Estate, Fazenda Capim Branco, is one of the oldest coffee farms in the Cerrado region, established in 1901 and boasting over a century of history. The farm enjoys excellent terroir for coffee cultivation, featuring distinct seasons and altitudes ranging from 1,100 to 1,200 meters. The estate owner places great emphasis on environmental protection and maintaining ecological balance. The estate produces high-quality coffee beans that are highly competitive in coffee quality competitions. It won first place among hundreds of producers and scored 92.21 in the Natural category.

This White Grass Estate blend consists of Yellow Catuai and Caturra varieties, processed through sun-drying, then roasted and ground. Its cupping and brewing flavors tend toward nuts, almonds, and honey, with a medium body.
