Sticky Cake
Sticky cake is a Hui ethnic flavor food made from processed flour of sticky yellow millet and sticky broomcorn millet. The method of making it is as follows: first mix the flour with water and knead it repeatedly until smooth, then steam it in a steamer. After steaming, the cake is sliced and pan-fried in fragrant oil. The fried sticky cake is soft, fluffy, sweet, and not greasy. Elderly Hui people usually love eating sticky cake the most. Some families also wrap a bit of red or white sugar inside when frying the cake to make sweet sticky cakes.
