　　Zichang apples are a specialty of Zichang County in Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. Zichang County has been recognized as a "High-Quality Apple Base County in Shaanxi Province." Mountain-grown apples have become an efficient and promising industry for increasing farmers' incomes in Zichang, with the development of the county's apple industry continuing to expand.

　　In 2013, Zichang County seized the opportunity of the city-wide "Apple Expansion to the North" strategy. Following the development principles of "regional planning, large-scale growth, scientific management, and standardized production," and implementing the approach of "government guidance, mutual transfers among residents, allocation to individual households, and fixed allocations," the county transferred 8,000 mu of land and planted 20,000 new mu of mountain apples. The total area of apple cultivation in the county reached 153,000 mu. Mountain apples have become an efficient and promising industry for increasing farmers' incomes in Zichang.
