　　The coal resources in Changwu cover an area of 483.34 square kilometers, accounting for 85.2% of the county’s total land area. The coal reserves consist of high-quality industrial coal, with stable coal seam occurrence, favorable mining conditions, and suitability for constructing large-scale mines. The Tingnan Coal Mine, invested in and built by Shandong Zibo Mining Group, has been completed and put into operation. The 5-million-ton annual-output Hujiahe Coal Mine, invested in by Shaanxi Coal Group, is progressing smoothly. In accordance with the overall planning requirements of the Binchang Mining Area, the county is vigorously developing coal-electricity-water and coal chemical industry chains. A dedicated Coal Industry Bureau has been established to promote the comprehensive utilization of coal resources and facilitate the sustained, rapid, and healthy development of the mining area. Fully utilizing coal, coal gangue, and mine drainage water resources, plans are underway to build a coal gangue thermal power plant, as well as prepare for the construction of the Tingnan Coal Washing Plant, Mengcun Coal Washing Plant, mine drainage water treatment plant, and sewage treatment plant. Currently, major projects such as the Datang Binchang Power Plant, the 1-million-ton coal-based dimethyl ether project, the Tingkou Reservoir, and the Yaziagou Reservoir are progressing smoothly. The fruit-growing villages are fragrant with fruit, and the coal city is rich in black gold. While cultivating key industries for development, the county has invested heavily to build 64 key new rural villages and 69 key poverty alleviation and development villages, constructed 41 safe drinking water and small-scale water conservancy projects, paved 496 kilometers of asphalt and cement roads connecting townships and villages, built 3,300 biogas pits and 39 leisure and fitness squares, established 118 rural stores under the “Ten Thousand Villages and Thousand Towns” market project, 18 rural information service outlets, and 18 rural libraries... The production and living conditions of rural residents have been greatly improved, and the county’s economy and society are developing harmoniously.
