Deng Family Cuisine
Deng Family Cuisine
Deng Family Cuisine refers to the family’s home-style dishes served to guests, featuring unique eastern Sichuan flavors. Its main characteristics include a rich variety of dishes that are affordable, covering cold dishes, stir-fries, stews, steamed dishes, and braised dishes—suitable for all ages. There are eight main dishes: cold shredded lean meat, “sandwiched pork” steamed with glutinous rice and sugar at the base, “braised pork slices” steamed with preserved vegetables, pork and uniquely Guang’an-style sweet potato starch vegetable deep-fried into “crispy pork,” “twice-cooked pork” stir-fried with garlic sprouts and chili, “pork rib soup” stewed with local beans or radishes, bamboo shoots, etc., “lotus root mash stir-fry” made from ground soybeans, and Deng Family’s signature corn glutinous rice balls. The final dish is aged preserved vegetables, which serve both as an appetite stimulant and a way to cut through the richness of the meal (this menu is provided by Guang’an Deng Family Cuisine Restaurant).
