"October Red" Citrus

　　"October Red" citrus (also known as Sugar Orange) is one of the major agricultural products in Fengkai County. In recent years, due to smooth market sales and stable prices, farmers have shown great enthusiasm for planting it. The development momentum of "October Red" citrus has been strong, with the total planted area reaching 33,000 mu. The main areas with large-scale cultivation include Baigou, Nanfeng, and Pingfeng towns, among which Baigou has 7,000 mu, Nanfeng 10,000 mu, and Pingfeng 5,000 mu.

　　 Sugar oranges are flat-round in shape, with bumpy protuberances on the top and a slightly indented stem end. Their color is orange-yellow, and their peel is thin and easy to remove. They are known for bearing fruit early, yielding abundantly, and having a sweet, smooth taste.
