Fresh Jishan Peaches
Fresh Jishan Peaches
Fresh Jishan peaches are cultivated throughout Jishan County. The total planting area is about 30,000 mu, with an annual output of approximately 3 million kilograms. They mainly fall into two categories: nectarines and fuzzy peaches. Popular varieties include Shuguang, Zaohongzhu, Qinwang Peach, Dajiu Bao, and Chongyang Hong. From early May through December, early-, mid-, and late-season varieties come to market in succession, forming a year-round supply of fresh peaches for the market. The produce is sold to various provinces and cities along the southeast coast. Peaches are highly nutritious. Per 100 grams of flesh, they contain 7–14 grams of sugar, 0.2–0.9 grams of organic acid, 0.4–0.8 grams of protein, 0.1–0.5 grams of fat, as well as various vitamins. Peach pits contain 45% oil and offer great nutritional value for promoting human health.
