Ningyuan Mountain Litsea
In the Yongzhou region, Jianghua and Ningyuan counties are the top two producers, each yielding over a thousand dan annually. It is a precious aromatic oil-producing tree species from which volatile aromatic oils can be extracted. It is also used in the manufacturing of Western medicines and various flavored foods. This deciduous tree has oval-shaped leaves and round fruits, both of which emit a strong fragrance. To date, dozens of products have been developed.
