Xinhua Dragon-Tooth Lily Bulb
Xinhua Dragon-Tooth Lily Bulb is characterized by its large, thick, and plump bulbs. When dried, each piece is about two inches long and 5.6 fen wide, with a silvery-white, translucent appearance that resembles the legendary dragon’s tooth—hence the name.
The Dragon-Tooth Lily Bulb is a premium variety of edible lily. It can be eaten fresh, dried for storage, or processed into lily powder. Rich in nutrients, lily powder is especially suitable for the elderly, children, and patients, and can also be used medicinally to calm the nerves, relieve coughs, reduce swelling, and more.
Lily bulbs are harvested around the summer solstice and planted at the same time. The seeds overwinter in the soil, making them easy to cultivate, low-cost, and quick-yielding. Nowadays, many farmers in Xinhua compete to grow Dragon-Tooth Lily Bulbs, harvesting nearly 2,000 dan annually.
